  • The larger models Tesla ships first to this hardware
  • Parking and obstacle detection from cameras alone

Upgrades · Current hardware. Nothing to upgrade to.

high
BOUGHT WITH Full Self-Driving Autopilot Package
The Autopilot tier the car was purchased with. Full Self-Driving is part of the vehicle, so it stays with it.
ACTIVE NOW Full Self-Driving is switched on
The feature is currently working on this car. On its own that does not say whether it was bought or is being rented — the purchased tier above is what settles it.
HOW WE KNOW Based on the option code
Tesla returned no purchase-eligibility data for this car, so we could not cross-check the verdict against what the car is still able to buy. The purchased Autopilot tier above is the stronger signal anyway.

Battery & price

Battery health
96.4%Healthy
Measured 2026-10-27T22:40:29Z
Packs lose the most early — as much as 10% across the first year is normal, not a fault. After that, degradation levels off to roughly 1% a year.
For its age +6 pts Better than expected
At 1 years old, a typical pack sits near 90% — anything above that is ahead of the curve.
Compared with similar +5.4 pts Better than similar cars
Against 330 other M3s within 18 months of this car's age, which sit around 91%.
Delivered to the United States
Pack capacity77.2 kWh
Battery chemistry Nickel (NCA/NMC)

Dual-motor cars use a nickel pack. LFP was only ever fitted to single-motor rear-wheel-drive builds.
Daily charging to about 80% suits this pack. Save 100% for the days you need the range — a nickel pack ages faster when it is kept full.

Cost new $57,990

Warranty, estimated

The terms this model was sold with, set against the build date. Not a check of this car's account — Tesla does not release live warranty status for a car you do not own.

within term Basic Vehicle 4 years / 50,000 miles

Still inside the 4-year term — it was built Nov 2025 and delivery can only have been later, so this cannot have run out on time yet. The 50,000-mile limit can still end it.

within term Supplemental Restraint System 5 years / 60,000 miles

Still inside the 5-year term — it was built Nov 2025 and delivery can only have been later, so this cannot have run out on time yet. The 60,000-mile limit can still end it.

within term Battery & Drive Unit 8 years / 120,000 miles

Still inside the 8-year term — it was built Nov 2025 and delivery can only have been later, so this cannot have run out on time yet. The 120,000-mile limit can still end it.

within term Corrosion (rust-through) 12 years, unlimited miles

Still inside the 12-year term — it was built Nov 2025 and delivery can only have been later, so this cannot have run out on time yet.

Cover ends early if the car is written off or re-titled in some states, and the mileage limit can end any of these before the years run out.

S means the code is in the car's as-built record — it left the factory with this. O means it also appears in Tesla's current option list for the car. A code showing S only describes how the car was built and does not confirm the feature is still active today; ask the seller if it matters.

Names come from Tesla where Tesla supplies one. Anything marked “community mapping” is our best understanding of a code Tesla does not label. See the full option code reference.

Safety recalls — 1 campaign Seats ShowHide

Published by NHTSA for this model year. They may apply to this car — recalls are issued by model and year, not by VIN, and there is no public way to tell whether this particular vehicle has had the work done. Ask the seller, or check with Tesla using the VIN.

Before you buy

Vehicle details, option codes and battery figures come directly from Tesla's own records. Safety recalls and the build record come from NHTSA. History reports, where bought, come from the reporting service named on them.

We present this data as we receive it and presume it accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete or correct, and some of it is our interpretation of what Tesla reports rather than a statement from Tesla. Confirm every detail with the seller and with the car itself before handing over money.
